Satellite images captured between June 10 and July 6 reveal continuous expansions in the Netzarim corridor, established by the Israeli military to separate northern and southern Gaza. These expansions include extensive demolition of buildings and bulldozing of agricultural lands both north and south of the corridor.
The images highlight a significant concentration of destruction in the Al-Mughraqa area, south of the corridor, where the Israeli army has commenced demolishing and bulldozing the remaining towers of the "Dar Misr 1" residential complex. Additionally, the images show the construction of a new military post east of the corridor near Juhr Al-Deek, featuring several vehicles and military structures.
Since October 7, Israel, with U.S. support, has waged a devastating war on Gaza, resulting in over 126,000 Palestinian casualties, most of whom are children and women, and more than 10,000 missing individuals amid widespread destruction and famine that has claimed the lives of numerous children. Despite two UN Security Council resolutions demanding an immediate ceasefire and International Court of Justice orders to prevent acts of genocide and improve the dire humanitarian conditions in Gaza, Tel Aviv continues its military campaign.
The demolition is not confined to a specific area; nearly 90% of Gaza’s buildings have been damaged, with 70% completely destroyed. Due to the difficulty of accessing these areas, the destruction is primarily documented through satellite images. One Gaza resident mentioned that he obtained footage of his demolished residential block from Israeli military channels and shared it on his Twitter account.
This ongoing conflict highlights the urgent need for international intervention to address the escalating humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
